","whats_included":"After our pre-session consultation, I will craft a mood board using online images to fit the description of the kind of pictures you are looking for, to provide you with some posing ideas and some guidance as you prepare for the shoot so you know what to expect. I will also need you to sign + scan a contract with some general info about your session, your payment, and model release consent.
On the day of the photoshoot, please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. We will start right away!
After the shoot, you will receive an email with your online picture gallery and a download code that you must use to download the pictures to your computer. Please note that you may receive your gallery up to 14 days after the original day of your shoot.

","what_to_expect":"Once we have booked, we build on the brand story.
How many outfits? What’s your colour palette? Do we need props? Where is the best location? Even what music do you like? Environment matters!
Do we have a place for you to change clothes? Details in planning matter.
Don’t experiment with new hair or makeup on the day of the shoot. Dress in a way that is authentic to you. We always look more comfortable in clothes that match who we are.
Drink water! We always look better, healthier and younger when our skin is hydrated.
I arrive about 1/2 hour to 15 minutes early; depending on set up needed.
And then we ease into shooting. It takes a few minutes to get comfortable and in the groove and then feel the magic happen! We start to move and play and simply show who you are; making sure we cover the things you need.
You will receive a proof gallery in 5-7 days and then once you have chosen your final picks, I edit those further. They will be available in another 7-14 days

I want you to rest assured that I am fully committed to letting you shine in this experience. The next step is to chat! Our call usually lasts about 20 minutes and we get to talk about why you’re worth the investment, the power of being seen in the family pictures, and your unique family story. We all have one.
During the shoot:
Now the fun begins! The sessions last 2 hours and takes place in and around your home. I will send you my recipe for our time together, and you get to be you. Specializing in celebrating the joy in your everyday! I’ll show up with my gum boots and runners to do the real work of making images that help you remember this wild, hilarious, sometimes challenging, yet ultimately rewarding time.
After the shoot:
Three weeks later you will have around 40 pieces of visual art to choose from for your photobook and digital collection. I will help you to get these moments off the computer and into your hands so that your kids can have something to hold as technology evolves.

We'll walk around and pass by some amazing photo locations as we stop throughout the park for photos. This world-famous park is home to huge Sequoia trees and rich biodiversity of flora and fauna.
In this relaxed session, we will get a few posed traditional photos plus lots of fun candid shots! I'll help you all pose for the traditional portrait, and once that's over with, you can just enjoy the time walking around the park as I shoot from a distance.
Due to the nature of this session, it is for one immediate family (couples or parents and children) not for extended family groups or family reunions. It can be used on off-season dates for elopements or micro weddings.
My editing style is lively and bright with natural-looking colors.

With a documentary session like this, you get to enjoy your family, just as they are, just being themselves. I know you have a zillion photos of your kids on your phone, but with this session, you'll get to BE IN THE PHOTOS with your kids... which your kids will treasure when they're older. They'll get to see mommy and daddy playing with them, cuddling them and just being with them during the day.
Documentary photos are especially nostalgic because you'll have the memories of the places you actually spent the majority of your time in; your home and around your neighbourhood... not a special location that you went to once for a family portrait. This is something beautiful to pass on to them when they are older.

The session IS about documenting and remembering what it's like to be in your family today, right now... because very soon it's going to change.
Real is more interesting than perfect, and it's how your kids will remember their childhood.
You can expect a lot of black and white photos, since color often takes away from the emotion of the moment.

","what_to_expect":"I have been a member of Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) for almost ten years and am accredited in Fine Art/Photo Décor. I am also a Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). I’m a graduate of the Journalism program at Carleton University and hold a Master’s degree in Canadian Studies, also from Carleton.
I operate my business, Terry Tinkess Photography from my studio in our full-scribe White Pine log home in Ingleside, Ontario. and have taught photography and entrepreneurship courses at St. Lawrence College in Cornwall, Ontario since 2007. The photographers who have influenced me the most are Jay Maisel and Joe McNally, both of whom I have had the honour of meeting on numerous occasions. I lives with my wife Brenda, dog Mia and cats Chubbers and Wally, who all make sure I am is up in time to see the sunrise.
I find the bulk of my commissions in eastern Ontario but envision travelling farther afield after COVID.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY PRODUCTS TO COME IN?
It takes about 2 weeks for prints to come in. If you ordered a canvas, photo album, or a composite photo they will be in within a month from our meeting. Digital images will be delivered within 24 hours of the meeting unless you asked me to do some special editing on them.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The final balance depends on whether you added additional items to your order. All of my pricing is separate, as I don’t want to make you purchase anything you don’t want. I would say the average order is around $300-$1,000. You will have the pricing menu before you book.
