Our pets have as much personality as we do and in 30 minutes or even less (They ALWAYS decide the length of the shoot!) I will capture this personality.
Then, I will also produce a fine art 11x14 watercolour painting from one of the images.
Our pets are worth it!
We begin with a consultation so I can hear from you who your pet is. Are they active, chill or silly?
Do they have any health issues or do they take time to warm up to strangers?
We can prepare with discussion of location or props, if desired (personally I love the raw, natural expression of an animal but if you want a favourite toy or something in the photo, totally welcome). Indoors or outdoors (Are they a runner? What’s their recall like)?
We also discuss plans for grooming prior and clean up on the day. Bring a brush if you have a pet that requires it. I will bring clean grooming tools but it’s best for the protection of your pets not to share grooming tools.
Also, bring your pet’s favourite treats - especially if they have any food allergies.
From there, you pick you favourites from 15-25 images and I will do any additional editing. Once these are complete, you will receive a downloadable gallery.
Then, you pick one favourite and receive an original, hand painted watercolour.
","what_to_expect":"After booking, I will arrive at set location 15 minutes to a half hour before shooting.
We begin with a “Getting to know” warm up. Sniffs, treats, and a little exercise.
In this time I can read their personality and that’s what I shoot for.
And now it’s simply allowing things to happen. Gentle poses and spontaneous moments.
We have so much fun and laughs, guaranteed.
After the shoot you will receive initial proofs in 5-7 business days. The edits will be complete in 14 days after picking your proofs.

I have been a photographer for my entire adult life but my secret is, I have paralleled many years of this with animal care. I groomed dogs for years (I was even sought out because I worked exceptionally well with \"special needs\" dogs - health, age or behaviour and have a special gift \"speaking dog\") and worked at three different veterinary hospitals as an Animal Health Technician assistant.
I have been blessed not only to capture the images of amazing animals but to teach Pet Photography as well. You can find out more about that on my website soon or ask me in person about photography education.

I love love love being a hype woman for all my families and clients and 100% love celebrating them on their special occasions. As much as I take my work seriously, each milestone and occasion that I get to witness is a true privilege and it’s so heartwarming that I get to be a part of these moments! And often, when going through photos weeks after the photoshoot, I’ll find myself smiling as I’m prepping a gallery for delivery because all those emotions come rushing back. I’m all in with my families and clients.
Besides that, you can find me at home with the hubs cuddling on the couch watching Grey’s Anatomy, The Bachelor, or anything on Food Network. If it’s summer time, then there’s a small chance I’ll be out hiking with friends or a much larger chance I’m chilling on the patio with the girls, a sweet glass of sangria and a homemade charcuterie board (Cheese, bread, and wine? Yum!)
And if after all this you only remember three things about me, I want it to be this: I love Jesus, I love my husband, and I love my job, in that order. Jesus took hold of my life when I was 12 and I’ve never looked back. He is the backbone of everything I do, in work, in love, in life. Finding a good balance between home life and work life is always important and that’s why I gotta keep some time reserved for my husbabe even through that busy season! A detailed consult will create the direction we will go to tell your brand story, the impact and purpose of your photos.
I will create mouth watering photos of your food for your website, packaging, social media and all of your marketing.
I have extensive experience in print work, packaging and websites and understand how your images need to work for multiple platforms. I work with any graphic designers or publishers to make the pictures work in your specific niche and situation.
The content created can be used in multiple platforms and you will have enough images to fit your needs and support additional social media content for a year.

","what_to_expect":"After booking, a phone or video consult will occur.
I create a mood board from imported images from places like Pinterest or other resources so we get a clear visual for direction.
We will determine where is best for the shoot to take place and if you, the client wants to be present or trusts me, the photographer to shoot autonomously. If the later, I will send early images to the client to make sure we are on track.
I will arrive a minimum half hour prior to shooting, depending on complexity of set up or you will be expected to arrive to the place of shooting a half hour, with food product prior to shooting.
Food photography does not have a formula. It requires patience and is a detail oriented process. Each unique shoot starts with “getting it right”. The first set, recipe or dish takes a little more time. It’s a really cool process to observe. Once we have the start point dialled in, then subsequent dishes move a little faster.
Expect 5 simple images per hour and even and hour or more for more complex sets or shots - especially if there are multiple elements in one shot.
After the shoot is complete, I will send a gallery of edited images and they will be downloadable after payment is complete.
An alternate agreement will be arranged if Payment plan is the option.
