\"We worked with Gary for our engagement photos. Before our session, we had a 30 minute video call to talk about out wedding plans and what we wanted in the session. From the start, he was very communicative and transparent and offered great advice about what to look for/questions to ask any photographers even if we did not end up working with him. Our photos came out beautifully and we were so happy with them. My fiance and I are both introverted people who had never had professional photos taken, so we were nervous and Gary made us feel very comfortable. We ended up having fun and enjoyed it more than we expected. We wanted to use him for our wedding, but unfortunately he got booked for our date the same day we made a deposit for our venue! I was sooo sad. He was very understanding, and provided recommendations for other photographers he trusted to do a good job with our photos. He still offered to help to answer any questions or provide guidance on vendors and logistics after the fact. I should mention that we won a free session, and he was still this thoughtful and considerate after not securing us for a wedding shoot. I will be recommending him to everyone I know who is in need of a wedding photographer! After the shoot:

I will come to your home with some setups and props based on your vision and we will take some adorable first days images. After the session I will edit them to perfection and we will choose a date for the reveal meeting where you will see all of your images and decide on your final order. I will send you a link to your own personal online gallery. Here you will see all of the images you bought and their printing rights. This way you can share them on social media and be able to put them on your smart phone and show all of your friends! (:
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY PRODUCTS TO COME IN?
It takes about 2 weeks for prints to come in. If you ordered a canvas, photo album, or a composite photo they will be in within a month from our meeting. Digital images will be delivered within 24 hours of the meeting unless you asked me to do some special editing on them.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The final balance depends on whether you added additional items to your order. All of my pricing is separate, as I don’t want to make you purchase anything you don’t want. I would say the average order is around $300-$1,000. You will have the pricing menu before you book.

After creative direction is decided I'll consult with you or your planner on itinerary, locations, and movement on the day of. On your wedding day I will arrive early and check in with you and/or your coordinator, then begin the work of capturing the day.
Depending on the approach you prefer I may quietly disappear into the crowd like an embedded photojournalist or subtly guide you into the beautiful or interesting light. Regardless of your desired approach I will capture all the details, portraits, candids, group shots, and decisive event moments in images that look how things felt.
At the end I'll check in with you to make sure I've captured everything you'd like to have captured before departing, backing up all your files redundantly before traveling, and delivering a teaser image by the next morning. Your full image gallery with unlimited high res downloads will be available 3-6 weeks after the wedding.

We knew we were willing to spend money on quality photos because that is what lasts from your wedding day. We wanted someone who would really be able to capture the memories. Scott did that and more. One of the qualities that drew us to Scott and his work was his ability to capture candid moments. That spoke volumes to us and really came through in our finished wedding album. When looking back at our photos, we feel like we are instantly back in those moments. Another thing we love about his editing style is that he doesn’t distort the colors. Today’s style is to have moody photos and in my opinion that just ruins the pictures and doesn’t help you capture the day as it was. Scott takes incredible shots and then enhances them, not distorting their true colors. Also, his editing skills are killer. We were both so awkward in front of the camera but Scott made our engagement session so fun and enjoyable. On our wedding day we barely noticed him there in the background getting all the perfect shots. We highly recommend Scott and look forward to using him in the future.\"

My approach to photography is a delicate balance of organic emotion paired with gentle direction. With me, you’ll never be left wondering what to do with your -insert body part here- hands, feet, belly button...baby toe? With me, you can both embrace your inner weirdo and let loose, because what’s the point of photographs if they don’t show the real you? Oh, and that you come well-fed because not everyone can pull off the hangry look in their photos! ","what_to_expect":"My name’s Nancy and I am a wedding and portrait photographer serving Vancouver B.C. and beyond. I love love love being a hype woman for all my couples and clients and 100% love celebrating them on their special occasions. As much as I take my work seriously, each milestone and occasion that I get to witness is a true privilege and it’s so heartwarming that I get to be a part of these moments! And often, when going through photos weeks after the photoshoot, I’ll find myself smiling as I’m prepping a gallery for delivery because all those emotions come rushing back. I’m all in with my couples and clients.
Besides that, you can find me at home with the hubs cuddling on the couch watching Grey’s Anatomy, The Bachelor, or anything on Food Network. If it’s summer time, then there’s a small chance I’ll be out hiking with friends or a much larger chance I’m chilling on the patio with the girls, a sweet glass of sangria and a homemade charcuterie board (Cheese, bread, and wine? Yum!)
And if after all this you only remember three things about me, I want it to be this: I love Jesus, I love my husband, and I love my job, in that order. Jesus took hold of my life when I was 12 and I’ve never looked back. He is the backbone of everything I do, in work, in love, in life. Finding a good balance between home life and work life is always important and that’s why I gotta keep some time reserved for my husbabe even through that busy season! More on our love story later…But my number 3 is my work, it’s you. With each session, I’m all in. The goal is always to stay true to the people in front of my camera, capturing them the way they are, and to uncover the real and raw beauty that every couple shares.
